Randal Fyfe Leigh has been a professional artist for most of his adult life. Currently living in Central Oregon, he devotes his time to his own artwork, and commissioned works. Formerly of Los Angeles, he envisioned and created numerous backdrops, paintings, murals, scrims, and props, for theater, opera, television, and film productions including; Star Trek, Batman, Seabiscuit, Hidalgo, One from the heart, Coppelia, La traviata, Les Miserables, Camelot, La Cage aux Folles, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, The Carol Burnett Show, The Sonny and Cher Show and All in the family, to name a few. He also served as Senior Artist at NBC/Universal with the Jay Leno, Tonight Show, and Ellen Degeneres's The Ellen Show.
For over forty years, Randal worked on and off for every major studio in Los Angeles, including 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Universal, Columbia, MGM Studios, Zoetrop Studios, Sony, NBC, CBS, ABC, KTTV, KTLA, KCET. and Disney Imagineering, During his time at Disney, he sculpted & painted 3D sets for the Disneyland rides, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Temple of Doom, for Disneyland Paris, Anaheim, and Walt Disney World Orlando, as well as Tokyo Disneyland, Japan.
While artist in charge at KCET, Randal received two Emmy Awards for Artistic Contribution, during KCET’s time as Southern California’s flagship PBS member station.
Throughout these years, in addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Randal created and sold his own artwork to individuals, production companies, and corporate clients.
